‘Thai Kitchen in Kendal’
‘Food the Thai Way’.
Inspired by grass-roots Thai cuisine.
Authentic Thai food made with love.
Thai Kitchen in Kendal//
Inspired by our background in street food, and the desire to bring authentic grass-roots Thai cuisine to Kendal, ‘Thai Kitchen in Kendal’ opened in August, 2020.
The cafe – part of Thai Kitchen in Lakeland – is open Wednesday to Saturday from 10am – 3pm, then on Wednesday evenings we cater with two sittings at 6pm and 8pm.
Our other cafe on Dockray will continue to provide ‘drive-thru’ Thai takeaways on Thursday to Saturday evenings from 5pm – 9pm .
We are not yet licenced so please feel free to bring your own drinks.
The interior design of the cafe at Thai Kitchen in Kendal contains two themes: the sun, sea and sand of Thailand reflected in the colours of the decor and menus, and the mountains and lakes of the Lake District with their legacy of photography and mountaineering. The ambience is both calm, peaceful and yet vibrant.
We’re bringing our street food, indoors

“As loyal customers to the Thai Kitchen takeaway we were super excited to try out the new cafe! Its a lovely little spot, brightly decorated and welcoming. Eric greeted us and seated us at our table, with social distancing in mind! The menu was varied and well priced and the food was incredibly tasty! The papaya salad was so deliciously fresh and my kids loved the box to go starter. Really looking forward to going again, thanks Amporn and Eric! Really wonderful job all round x” Beth.
“Had the Khao Soi, King Prawn Blankets and Pork and Sesame Toast – absolutely stunning, would definitely recommend!!” Ollie
